Effective September 14, 2026. DIYSum is designed to collect as little personal information as practical.
Calculator inputs
Your project dimensions, prices and calculator selections are processed in your browser. The current version of DIYSum does not send calculator inputs to a DIYSum server or store them after you leave the page.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
DIYSum currently does not use analytics, set advertising cookies or load advertising scripts. The site includes inactive, empty locations reserved for possible future advertising; they do not collect information or contact an ad service while inactive.
If analytics, advertising, consent tools or affiliate technology are added later, this policy will be updated before or when those services are enabled. Where required, visitors will be given applicable notice or consent choices.
Files you download
Shopping lists are generated on your device. Downloading one saves a file in the download location controlled by your browser or device.
Website hosting
Your browser requests the site’s files from its hosting provider. The hosting provider may process ordinary technical request information such as IP address, browser details, timestamps and requested pages in service and security logs.
If you contact DIYSum by email, the information in your message and ordinary email metadata will be processed by the email services used to send and receive the message. Do not send sensitive personal, financial or payment information.
Third-party links
DIYSum may link to third-party websites. Their privacy practices are controlled by those third parties, not DIYSum.
Children
DIYSum is a general-audience project-planning website and is not designed to collect personal information from children.
