How the sod calculation works
Total lawn area × (1 + extra allowance) = purchase target
Purchase target ÷ supplier coverage = purchase units

Supplier roll and pallet sizes vary, so DIYSum uses the coverage value you enter instead of assuming a universal package size.
Planning tips
Measure separate lawn sections individually and include only areas you plan to sod. Check the supplier's coverage per pallet, roll or bundle before ordering.
